Preparing a Proposal, UW Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)
Includes information on preparing your proposal, budget development, subawards, eGC1s, and sponsor-specific guidelines.

Guide for Writing a Funding Proposal, Michigan State University
Covers all the steps necessary to write a successful proposal. Includes examples from a complete proposal.

A Guide for Proposal Writing, National Science Foundation (NSF)
Covers all the steps necessary to write a thorough and complete proposal. Also includes tips on what makes an outstanding proposal—from a reviewer’s perspective.

UW Researcher’s Guide Trainings
Includes a variety of classes and workshops for the new and experienced researcher alike. Lists both UW-specific trainings and external grant-related trainings.

Mandatory Compliance Trainings
The trainings you will be required to complete are based on the type of research you are conducting.

If your research involves human subjects in any capacity, you may be required to complete Human Subject trainings and/or forms.

Create your eGC1 and submit your proposal to be reviewed by the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
